I just finished watching 'Gone with the wind'. I was surprised about the ending. It was quite abrupt.
I decided my own ending for it. Scarlett and Rhett get back together, and live at Tara together. Ashley re-marrys and has more children. Rhett and Scarlett have several more children also. Ashley and his wife live near by.
Melly's death was very sad. I really liked her.
I feel for Scarlett, even though I don't like her much. Well, I do like her actually. She makes really bad decisions and I don't like her character, but I can't help liking her.
Who has seen this movie? What do you think?

I made a doll dress, here are some photos of it. I tried to make it like 'Jane Austin' style like 'Pride and Prejudice'. :) I love that style. I've heard it called 'emperor's waist' before. I'm not sure if that is the proper term for it or not.
I know the dress is a bit wrinkled, sorry about that. :)
But anyway, I had fun making it. :)

Brownies and peanutbutter frosting
I came up with this idea, and then my Mom found the recipie for the peanutbutter frosting online.
I made brownies with a regular brownie mix, and baked it in two round pans. I made the frosting, and put it together. It's really simple, so not much to say about it.
Here is the recipe for the peanutbutter frosting. It turned out really good!! I think I might use it for other things too!
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup penutbutter
2 cups powdered sugar
less than 1/4 cup milk
beat butter and peanutbutter until fluffy
mix in half of powdered sugar, milk, then the rest of the powdered sugar.
This recipe is actually halfed. I wasn't going to cover the whole cake, just fill in the middle, so I halfed it. Double the reicpe to make more. :)

only 15 minutes of swimming
We just came back from the pool, we only got to swim for about 15 minutes! There was faint thunder in the distance, and everytime the lifeguards hear thunder, they have to close the pool for 30 minutes.
So we came back home. It's sunny here, but it seems to be that a storm is coming. Maybe the storm will pass and we will be able to go back later.

baby duck
Thats not a very good photo but Laura snapped it for me real quick. He was trying to escape from my hands. He is hard to hold.
I keep calling "it" a "he". We don't know yet...right now it is "it" or "babyduck" :) But for some reason we all automatically call it a "he" :)
But anyway, you can see it's size compared to my hands. It's tiny!

update on baby duck :)
It's kind of hard to see him, but he is in the green water dish.
There is a little corner on the side of the house with three walls where a rosebush is, in the backyard. We put him there and put some fencing up for him. :) He started eating bugs and prunning himself. :) And he loves to play in the water. :) He seems to be doing just fine. :)
He is still so small though, that he might walk through the fencing or find some way to escape. So we have to "babysit" him. :) I brought my school out there awhile ago. It's hot outside!

baby duck
My Mom found a baby duck in the garage. We have no idea where it came from! I feel so sorry for it. It's so frightened. It's tiny and it's feet are out of proportion to the rest of it's body, it's so cute!
It's now in a box in the house ;) and we got some baby duck food for it. ;) It will be eight weeks until it'll be big enough for us to bring to the neightborhood pond! I guess if it lives we'll be keeping it for awhile, the poor little guy. Really though, where would a duck come from? There is a pond, just down the road from our house, but just one female duck lives there now. :) That little guy may have traveled a ways to get here. :)

Design vs. chance

Evolutionists believe that the universe as we know it came into being by blind chance over perhaps 30 billions years!
This belief takes as much faith as any other religion known to man.
Could chance have placed the earth in orbit precisely at the correct distance from the sun to prevent earth's inhabitants from burning up or freezing to death and then maintain this distance without deviation?
Could it be by chance that water expands rather than contracts as it solidifies, causing ice to float to the surface of a pond and thereby providing a blanket of protection for all the plants and animals living underneath?
Could chance have taught each kind of bird to build it's distinctive type of nest?
Is it by chance that migrating birds navigate by the stars or by the sun when the weather is clear or by built-in "magnetic compass" when clouds obscure the sun?
The more we study the marvels of the natural world, the more we realize that design, not chance, is the ruler of the universe.

"Coconut Peanutbutter Raw Candy"
3 cups of rolled oats
2 cups of peanutbutter
3/4 cups of honey
1/2 cup of coconut (I had to use more)
In a medium sized mixing bowl, mix oats, honey, and peanutbutter.
Form the mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll in coconut, and then freeze. Keep refrigerated.
They are really good! :)

Church camp~part one
I am back from Church camp! I had so much fun, it was really the best week of my life. It was amazing. Well, I'm going to share some from my notes that I took during the services, classes and at other times, but real quick this is the basic outline of our day.
Get up around 7:00 or 7:30
Breakfast at eight
Free time to go and have our own devotional time and have some quiet time.
Class with youth pastor at 9:30
At 10:30 we meet all the other church groups at the metal building type of thing for morning worship and service.
Lunch
free time
At 2:30 we had "rec" (recreation) -wet and wild games, or ropes course.
Then in the afternoons there were games you could participate in and they had tournaments. ( I didn't do any)
-basketball, volleyball, dodgeball.
Dinner at 6:00
Evening worship and service at 7:30
Then after the service each night, our group would come back to our cabin/dorms and share with eachother how God was working in our lives, what He had taught us and share testimonies and prayer requests.
And then we went to bed around 1:00pm. :) (or later.)
So, anyways, I'm just going to do a few posts when I can of some things I leared at camp, things that made a big impression on me and things that I thought were really neat and that I would like to share. :)
